On September 28th, Northeast Ohio once again witnessed another incident of a repeat drunk driver causing damage to three other vehicle in not one but two separate accidents. The driver attempted to leave the scene of the first accident when he caused the second. This offender, Jimmy Evans, 46, of 5636 Hickory St in Mentor, Ohio has six prior convictions for driving while intoxicated starting in 1988. He had a valid drivers license at the time of the accident. He also was charged with one count of drug abuse because allegedly he had valium, vicodin and marijuana on him at the time.

Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt in this accident. A far cry from the horrific effects of another incident involving a driver, previously convicted of 12 prior alcohol related driving offenses, who killed two young college students in Geauga County accident earlier this year.
