Peanut Butter Recall Extended

Comments Off

Over 425 people have now reported illness as indicated by the Center for Disease Control resulting from the outbreak of salmonella linked to the ConAgra Foods plant in Sylvester, Georgia.

ConAgra Foods Inc. has extended its recall of all peanut butter produced at a plant in Georgia by more than a year, back to October 2004, the Food and Drug Administration said Friday. The recall covers all Peter Pan peanut butter and all Great Value peanut butter beginning with product code 2111, including peanut butter toppings.

If you have become sick after eating peanut butter, get to your doctor and report your potential exposure, preserve the remainder of the defective peanut butter product and consider contacting a lawyer to protect your rights.
